Sylvia Street
Jamaica Plain, MA

This home is a classic Victorian restored in 1997. The building was quite large, and the decision was made to convert it to 3 condominium units. It remained our greatest goal throughout the restoration to make sure we preserved the original integrity and beauty of the home during this multi-unit conversion.

This was a large-scale restoration, as we needed to resurface everything inside and out. A classic 7-color victorian color scheme was chosen for the exterior to replace the staid single-color white it had been previously painted.

All of the windows in the home were replaced as the restoration progressed.

This home was featured in the Boston Globe in 1999 as "Home of the Week" in an article entitled "Three-family in Jamaica Plain restored for sake of neighborhood."
